I love it when a project is jam-packed with fresh originals and you’ll find 11 new ones here penned by Hibbitts. The mostly mid-tempo, contemporary bluegrass numbers allow Hibbitts to shine on mandolin, mandola, guitar and bass, and he lets his guests - Daniel Salyers, Darrell Webb, Tyler Williams, Alix Pearson, Ben Poteat, Jaime Stacy, and David Grindstaff - sing lead while he accompanies them on tenor and baritone vocals as well. While the songs are well-written, lonesome and filled with memorable hooks, it was the blazing instrumental Come With It that got my attention. Hibbitts steps out on four instruments and is backed wonderfully by Will Parsons’ banjo, Jimmy Van Cleve’s fiddle, and Josh Swift’s Dobro. This show was worth the price of admission alone.
