Blue Storm
BY HAL COTTRELL

Blue Storm provides us with a very pleasant mixture. The songs go from a soulful version of the rock song Feel Like Makin’ Love to a fast waltz-time version of the country hit Lucille to a bluesy version of House of Gold. There are many appealing interpretations of traditional bluegrass songs, but they do an excellent arrangement on Beulah Land with a flute intro. Evan McGregor and Oscar Fish Studios did a wonderful job of recording and mixing this new band from Sidney, Ohio. Just as a personal preference, I like to see the liner notes mention who was playing which instruments. Tracks include (I’ve Still Got) A Lot Of Leavin’ Left To Do, Ninety-Nine Years, Life’s Highway, Before I Met You, Too Late For Goodbyes and more.  BMP
