Right from the beginning notes, this CD will grab you and take you on a musical ride.  I was amazed by the Monroe-like sound that Chris created on this project.  At times I closed my eyes and could see Monroe perform these songs.  Chris displayed incredible song writing on this project, producing a truly Monroe-esque sound.   I particularly liked “Monroe Approved” with clips of Bill Monroe speaking intertwined with the instruments. Chris is assisted on this CD by many of the powerhouse performers in bluegrass today.  A must have for anyone who loves traditional bluegrass.
